It’s a great Tuesday in the world of Always Never, we’re super happy to finally present our newest signee’s SLDGHMR with their EP, Reset. Just a bit ago they released their music video for “I Just Want You To Know”, which was a rad little take on the legendary old techno-dance shows once recorded on VHS.

The Reset EP begins with the title track, a massive techno-driven jaunt with commanding vocals and a post TRON vibe, and then traverses over five more tracks that effectively deliver a dark yet danceable sound. “I Just Want You To Know” continues along the techno route, with slamming kick drums and vocals with the help of You Love Her Cos She’s Dead. Pitched down vocals on “Welcome To The Technodome” are a tongue-in-cheek ode to techno and, upon more careful examination, outside genres as well. “BAOM” is perhaps the darkest of the release, channeling the dark French techno wave with carefully placed stabs and staccatos. The EP then slows down on “Shadows Dancing” with softer vocal cuts and piano chords. Closing the EP is “Back To The Start”, an effortless fusion of techno and disco aided by the ever-talented and loquacious Louisahhh!!! on vocals.

Woop woop! Spring is finally here, and we’re psyched to share that our main man Le Castle Vania is about to head off with the Dirtyphonics crew for the rest of their bus tour through April and May. Nerd Rage and Etc!Etc! will be joining as well on select dates, and with a lineup like that, you know it’s gonna be a party!

The first city Le Castle Vania will be hitting is Lubbock, TX on the 11th. The tour is also making a stop over at Euphoria Festival … and Atlanta don’t worry, your hometown king is coming back for you May 18th, so get ready to rage!

Our newest artist Crywolf is has been on fire lately, and after his freebie dropped last week in anticipation of his upcoming EP on Always Never he’s back with … you guessed it: ANOTHER free download! We’re very thrilled by both of his tracks that he’s so generously offered for free, and especially excited for his EP Ghosts. We can’t wait for everyone to hear it!

This time, the freebie comes in the form of a collaboration with Aylen. It’s another indicator of Crywolf’s finesse at blending beautiful melodies and vocals with chilling builds and adrenaline-filled crashes. Each song tells a story, which reigns especially true in “Silence Pt II”. Aided by the vocals of Charity Lane, “Silence Pt II” will carry you away and leave you with goosebumps on your arms.

Crywolf, hailing from North Carolina, has been no stranger to the remix game with a multitude of remixes from everywhere across the musical spectrum. This year, Always Never is presenting brand new original material, starting with a free download of a collaboration with Ianborg entitled “Oceans”. The combination of Crywolf’s vocals and cascading melodies, along with a gritty undertone elaborate upon the vastness, beauty and innate darkness of oceans themselves.

This is only the beginning of the future between Crywolf and Always Never, and we’re excited to release the Ghosts EP soon, with an immense 5 tracks that traverse across various styles brought together by Crywolf’s unique balance act between delicate harmonies and haunting electro builds. It’s a whopping dose of high energy disco goodness, taking old disco vibes and putting the Le Castle Vania eerie and exciting electro/disco spin on the track. It’s ready to heat up dance floors wherever you are! We’re really excited about this jam, we’ve been amped on it for a while now and having it shareable with the world is a great feeling. Le Castle Vania – The Light

Today, just in time for Thanksgiving, marks the release of our next EP, courtesy of Tel Aviv’s own Split & Jaxta. They have created a unique blend of middle eastern psy-trance and raw electro to create the lead track for their Roulette EP. With haunting choral undertones placed below a ripping distorted bassline, Roulette serves up a platform for four high energy remixes from the likes of Le Castle Vania, Freefire, Neus, and Terravita. Twisting the track into a heavier electro creation are Always Never members Freefire and Le Castle Vania, with Freefire chopping the arrangement up into a whipping dancefloor storm, and Le Castle Vania delivering another unfaltering synth-driven rock-n-roller masterpiece. Terravita brings a dubstep vibe to the mix, and Neus finishes off the EP with a uniquely arranged remix that starts off with a lighter tempo and develops into a shredding drop.

It’s been a few weeks but all of us here at Always Never still have “I lay awake… all night looooooong” stuck in our heads, and for good reason. Our main man behind it all Le Castle Vania released a bonafide scorcher of a tune, and the release of the Remix EP for “Awake” is something we are undeniably proud of putting our name on. There are four very unique and exciting remixes on the EP, ranging in genres but all bringing the heat. The first two are electro-based remixes from the likes of South Central and Freefire. South Central’s chopped and warped version lights up the floor, and Freefire’s progression and additional vocal samples gives us an additional helping of excitement for an Always Never upcoming release from the UK duo. J. Rabbit, who is no stranger to the Always Never name (check out his past remix for Chubby Decker here) killed it yet again with his wobbly-dubstep take on the track. And last, but most certainly not least, our good friends and drum-n-bass kings Evol Intent provided us with exactly what they’re good at: a drum-n-bass remix that simultaneously blows us away and leaves us asking for more.
